Youtube Data API to Google Sheets Importer
This script is made to pull in data from Youtube and into a Google Sheet so that you can prioritize your Youtube Research Watchlist using key metrics such as views, subs, likes, comments, video age, etc.
It pulls in videos along with their URLs, the number of views, likes, comments and also how long it has been published for. It'll also pull in the Channel that published the video along with its subscriber count, channel age, total video count, and total view count.
Within the code is a scriptSettings() function which is what you'll adjust to fit your needs - including your Google Sheet ID, your Sheet Names, where to import the data, number of results to pull in, and most importantly, the Search Term it'll use to find relevant videos.
The entire point of this script is to help save you the trouble of having to copy and paste data from a youtube search into a spreadsheet so that you can focus your attention on the part a robot can't do - which is to watch the videos and obtain qualitative insights from them.
This code will work as long as you're using Google Apps Script, which is 100% free with your Google account. I've set it up so that it's as close to a "plug n' play" experience as possible.
